Australian Adult Internet Stats

You might find some of these Australian adult internet stats surprising!

A few days ago we shared an article on our Facebook page about how much time people from different countries spend on a popular adults-only video streaming site. Australia ranked in the middle (along with Canada, the US, and several other countries), but this got us thinking about other Australian adult internet stats. In this article we’ll take a look at more insights from to see just how things stack up.

The first thing we noticed was that Australia ranked 8th out of the top 20 countries driving traffic to this very popular video streaming service. While that may seem very average, the most interesting this is that it’s two places higher than it was in 2013. That means more Aussies are spending time watching adult videos year-on-year.

The next thing that stood out was the most popular “adult performer” search. Australia was the only country to rank “Kim Kardashian” as the most searched female. This seems kind of strange since Kim isn’t typically thought of as an “adult performer”, even though she did initially rise to fame because of her “leaked” sex tape. The other top 5 searches were pretty typical and similar to what other top 20 English-speaking countries were searching for.

The final thing that stood out in our very non-scientific study of Australian adult internet stats were the days of the week Aussies visited the site. World-wide the most popular day to visit the site was Monday, and least popular Friday. Australia bucked this trend by making Friday the most popular day to visit the site (Saturday was least popular for those keeping track). What does this mean? Most countries like to start the week with a little adult web surfing while Aussies prefer the opposite. What’s your theory about this? Why not leave a comment and let us know?

All-in-all our drill down of the Australian adult internet stats did reveal a couple of things that are unique to Aussies. It’s also interesting how we’re moving up in the usage-stats while other countries such as Germany, France, and Italy are moving down.

It should be mentioned that we’re not affiliated with in any way, but as the most popular adult video site their numbers are a good indicator. They are also the only site of this type that shares detailed usage information.

Do you have anything to add? Anecdotal evidence perhaps, or maybe a deep cultural theory. Whatever you think about Australian adult internet stats we’d love to hear about it so let us know what’s on your mind in the comments!
