Are robots the future of prostitution?

Recently the University of Wellington’s Ian Yeoman and Michelle Mars produced a paper titled “Robots, men, and sex tourism” that put forth a theory that many of the problems associated with the sex trade will soon be obsolete.  They postulate that problems such as human trafficking and the spread of STI’s could be all but eliminated within the next few years.

Maybe at some point in the future we will have sex-bots that come in a range of different ages, shapes, sizes, and ethnicities, but only time will tell what will happen with this burgeoning industry.  Check out the video up top for an brief description of this possibly future, or the bonus NMA video below if you (like me) like your news with a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour.
